All, right, this book ended upward being betwixt 4 and five stars for me. Closer to 4.25, and then I volition round to 4, but I was very nearly tempted to round to 5.

I'll go the annoying stuff out of the mode first earlier the good stuff cuz if I terminate on the annoying stuff I might get mad, but if I terminate on the good stuff, who knows, I might all the same round very generously up :P

Annoying:

* the abiding switching back and forth of POV. Like NO warning AT ALL. Like every other paragraph, and I am Non in any way exaggeratin

I'll get the annoying stuff out of the style first earlier the adept stuff cuz if I end on the annoying stuff I might go mad, but if I end on the good stuff, who knows, I might withal round very generously upward :P

Annoying:

* the abiding switching back and forth of POV. Like NO warning AT ALL. Similar every other paragraph, and I am NOT in any fashion exaggerating. There was one bespeak when suddenly the POV switched from Wolf to Dragon and I was like huh? I had to re-read 2 pages twice to see if I missed something. I practise NOT like to disrupt menses of reading to do that. Bellyaching THE HELL OUT OF ME!

* Editing wasn't the greatest. all kinds of mistakes, merely not enough to I get Also annoyed. Didn't get whatever of my pet peeves

*The trope of the beautiful foreign woman who grabs the barbarian marauder's attention at first sight...apathetic apathetic... I'chiliad non a huge fan of historical romance beautiful woman tropes. As well MANY!!!! Also UNORIGINAL! Information technology annoys me correct off the bat. OK, so if she was hideous, everything wouldn't get like information technology did even if she was brave and smart and talented? Or if non hideous just manifestly? Perchance a footling fatty? Or has stubby legs?? I really detest that trope

That's really about it. OK, 4 stars information technology is.

Anywho, the practiced stuff:

*WOLF, MY ALPHA! MY VIKING STUD!! Who'due south as brave and intelligent and gorgeous as he is fierce and wise and loving and loyal. I hateful GAH!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Blackness hair, 6'4", Silver eyed GAH!!!!!!

*An engaging, sympathetic, capable, potent-willed, caring heroine (despite her dazzler thing).

* A well-balanced plot

that focuses on the relationship development between the MCs. This may have been instant attraction, but information technology wasn't insta-beloved. Information technology took fourth dimension to develop but not too long. And you meet the push and pull in a very comprehensive way. It evolved very naturally.

The concluding confrontation with the brother toward the end surprised me at places a flake, but not in a bad mode. I was just nearly to be similar - oh, that was anticlimatic, until things turned the corner.

My fave scene that fabricated me Beloved WOLF and so hard was when later Cymbra pretty much "betrayed" him THREE times, including stabbing him (accidentally), he still forgave her, loved her enough to LET HER GO!! And the tears in his silvery optics!! OH how my middle reached out to him...

It did end kinda abruptly, tho happily, simply I have to take points off for the "dismount" fumble.

I am sooooo tempted to requite this book v stars but for WOLF. BUT...

It took me until about 40% to actually get into it. I'k a fast reader. If I love a volume, it'south gobbled downwards in no time at all, spiral the real world. This one had to grow on me and there were moments when I idea I'd shelve it. I'm glad I didn't.
